GymCoachPro Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how GymCoachPro ("we", "us", or "the app") collects, uses, stores, and protects your personal information when you use the GymCoachPro mobile application. By using GymCoachPro, you agree to the practices described here.
1. Information We Collect
GymCoachPro collects only the information required to give you a personalized workout program and to track your progress.

We do not collect location, contacts, device identifiers, advertising IDs, or any analytics/telemetry.
2. How We Collect Information
All personal information is provided directly by you when you sign up and complete onboarding, or when you log workout data during your sessions. Profile photos are provided by you when you take a photo with your device camera or pick one from your photo library.
3. Camera and Photo Library Access
GymCoachPro requests access to your camera and photo library so you can set a profile photo. The photo you select is stored only on your device and is never uploaded to our servers or shared with any third party. You can revoke camera and photo library access at any time in your device's Settings app.
4. How We Use Your Information
- To create and maintain your user account
- To generate a workout program tailored to your profile
- To calculate suggested loads and rep ranges over time
- To track your workout history and progression
- To communicate with you if you request a password reset
We do not use your information for advertising, marketing, profiling, or any form of behavioral tracking. We do not sell or share your personal data with third parties for their own commercial purposes.
5. Third-Party Services
GymCoachPro relies on the following third-party services to operate:
- Supabase — provides database and authentication infrastructure. Your account and workout data are stored in a Supabase project we control. See Supabase's Privacy Policy.
- Apple — the App Store, TestFlight, and iOS itself provide standard platform services. See Apple's Privacy Policy.
- Expo — used to build and distribute the app. Expo does not receive your personal data through normal use of GymCoachPro. See Expo's Privacy Policy.
We only work with third parties that provide equivalent protection to the practices described in this policy.
6. Data Retention
We keep your account and workout data for as long as your account exists. Your profile photo is stored on your device and remains there until you remove it, delete the app, or reset your device.
7. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access your data — it is visible to you at any time inside the app.
- Correct your data — you can update your profile information at any time via the account screen.
- Delete your account and all associated data — available directly in the app under Account → Menu → Delete Account. Deleting your account removes your profile, all workout history, and your local profile photo, and permanently deletes your account from Supabase.
- Revoke consent — you may sign out of the app or delete your account at any time.
8. Data Security
Your data is transmitted over HTTPS and stored in Supabase, which encrypts data at rest and enforces row-level security so that only you can access your own records. Passwords are never stored in plain text.
9. Children's Privacy
GymCoachPro is not intended for use by children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us so we can delete it.
10. International Users
By using GymCoachPro, you understand that your information may be transferred to and stored in servers operated by Supabase in regions that may be outside your country of residence. Where applicable law requires, you may have rights under GDPR, CCPA, or similar regulations — the "Your Rights" section above describes how to exercise those rights.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. If we make material changes, we will notify users within the app or by email before the changes take effect.
